Surrounded by high mountains and impressive peaks, the lake stands out for its blue-toned waters and peaceful atmosphere. It is a great option for travelers who want to leave the more familiar tourist routes behind and explore a different side of the Cusco region.
We’ll begin our adventure by picking you up from your hotel in Cusco at 5:00 a.m. and traveling to the majestic Ausangate region. Along the way, you’ll see llamas, alpacas, and local communities that keep their Andean traditions alive.
Upon arriving in the village of Yanacancha, we’ll enjoy a boxed breakfast before taking a short 10-minute walk to the viewpoint overlooking Singrenacocha Lagoon, a stunning turquoise mirror of water surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
You’ll have free time to take photos, explore, and admire the scenery.
Afterward, we’ll descend to the shores of the lagoon to explore it.
Then we’ll head to the village of Pampacancha, where we’ll enjoy a typical Andean lunch.
Finally, we’ll return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:00 p.m., with our souls filled with peace and our eyes brimming with dreamlike landscapes. Spend the night in Cusco.
