Itinerary

Half Day: Uros - Puno

On this tour, you’ll have the option of choosing between a morning or afternoon departure. Depending on your choice, we’ll pick you up from your hotel around 8:50 a.m. or 4:00 p.m. and depart from the port of Puno approximately 45 minutes later. After a 30-minute boat ride, we’ll arrive at the Uros Islands, an ancient community comprised of small islands made of totora reeds, each with its own small house. We’ll visit two of these islands for about 30 minutes each. Here, you’ll appreciate the crafts and traditional customs of these communities, based on hunting, weaving, and aquatic life, with explanations provided by our guide and a local family. This adventure even includes the option of taking a ride on the typical totora reed boats used in this area. After the 3-hour tour, we’ll return to the city of Puno.
